Thanks to  a perfectly scaled-down fit, narrower waistband, and classic Birdwell details, these keep a trip to the beach feeling every bit as free and easy as it ought to.

The 304 Kid's Board Shorts are built in flexible SurfStretch™ for maximum mobility. Based on Ms. Birdwell’s original design and informed by more than 50 years of field testing by lifeguards and surfers, these tailored shorts are cut and sewn by expert craftspeople in Santa Ana, California. With a single-grommet waistband that makes it simple for kids (and parents) to get them on and off, the 304s look every bit as good as mom’s and dad’s. They’re also part of our Bottomless Board Shorts program.

• Features: Single-layer SurfStretch™ body. Narrow waistband with single-lace closure with nickel plated grommets. Birdie woven label on center back of waistband. Signature Birdwell wax pocket with key loop and interior drain hole. Nylon drawcord. Secure velcro fly.
• Fit: Kids fixed waist sizes 1-14. Outseam 9 3/4" - 16" depending on size. Stretch fabric means there will be some give in the waist.
• Fabric: Single layer of Birdwell SurfStretch™️ – Woven Microfiber Polyester with Spandex.
• Construction: Fail safe clean finished double- and triple-stitched seams. Hand cut and sewn in Santa Ana, CA.
• Care: Machine wash cold. No Bleach. HANG DRY ONLY.
